AHEAD OCTOBER GUBER POLL : ZLP SEEK COALITION 2020 SUPPORT
The leadership of the Zenith Labour party (ZLP) in Ondo state has continued to romance the Coalition 2020 for their total support for the October 10,2020 governorship election.
Speaking in Akure Ondo state capital, the candidate for the party, Hon. Agboola Alfred Ajayi said he and his party have decided to seek for the Coalition 2020 support in the forthcoming election, seen the the relevancy and formidable structures the group have in place.
Agboola Ajayi who is also the current deputy governor of the state notes that the importance of the whole struggle today is to bring the state out of "wood" presently experiencing is for the betterment of all and which the group share such dream.
His words " This struggle someone must come out to lead, and which I am offering myself for the service of our people and to better the lots of whole"
He notes that out of the three viable contenders to the exhaulted seat of the governor of the state, he sees himself as capable, reliable and dedication for the service of the people. Therefore soliciting for the unflinching support of the Coalition 2020 to achieve the great ambition in the interest of all.
Earlier, the chairman of the Coalition 2020, Hon. Akin Akinbobola appreciates the humility nature of the ZLP candidate and the party as a whole, deeming it fit to seek for the support of the group.
He however noted that the decision to support any candidate or a political party sole rest on the whole Congress of the Coalition, which comprises over 40 political parties, interest groups, Artisans, religious groups, workers amongst other.
Akinbobola notes that, whatever may be the decision of the Coalition 2020 on whom to support ahead the October 10,2020 poll shall be communicated in due course.
Various representatives of bodies present at the meeting includes the artisans, women, non-indegenes, religious bodies, past political office holders and parties that express theie desires, yearnings and expectations to the candidate.
In his remarks at the meeting, the chairman of ZLP in the state, Chief Joseph Akinlaja appreciates the group, hoping for a roboust working relationship with the group,if favourably dispose.
