IBULESORO COMMUNITY CRY-OUT OVER VACANT STOOL


The people of Ibulesoro in Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State have appealed to the state government to quickly attend to the process of installation of a new king for the community which its process had begun since June 2020.

Speaking over the delay in the the process of installation of a new monarch for the community,which  has also been affecting her  personal life, the Regent, Princess Moyinoluwa Falowo explained that she was not satisfied with the silence and foot-dragging of the government’s representatives involving in the installation process.
Princess Falowo who expressed her readiness to vacate the stool and continue with her normal life as soon as possible the community have a new monarch, informed journalists that election of a new king had earlier been scheduled for July 19, 2020 when government approved the use of the available three kingmakers but was cancelled a day to the election process.

She posits that, it was later heard that some people protested against the use of three kingmakers that were still alive out of the six kingmakers of the community, which made the Government to write the families of the deceased three kingmakers to present representatives as Warrant Chiefs who would perform the task.

Adding that the three families quickly respond and submitted the names to the community and was forwarded to the local government for onward transfer to the state government for approval.

The Regent, however lamented that months after the submission of thenames, community didn’t get an approval and later heard rumour that two separate lists emanated from the community,hence delay in the process.

Princess Falowo noted that the situation had now become a great concern for her and the community as a whole due to how the process is been dragged, informing that there was no evidence before her to prove that two lists were actually submitted, plea with the governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, to quickly intervene and know what is causing the delaying the process.

According to her, the decision to call on the government had no political interest but that the people wanted progress and development, saying that the community is ripe for a new king after the stool became vacant on March 29, 2020.

She disclosed that one of the aspirants had taken the issue of the double lists to court, saying however, that if Government intervene in the issue by telling the community the reason  and allow peace reign by accepting right lists, the plaintiff would definitely withdraw the case and yield to the government’s directive.

 Adding that although the community is aware of tight schedule of the Governor, especially at this political moment,implore the government to use the good instruments of office at giving the community a monarch and allow the Regent to face her life on time.

Seven people from the ruling houses were said to be contesting for the Olubule of Ibule stool.
