CRIME : ADAMAWA POLICE COMMAND APPREND TEENAGER ASSAULTING A 2YEAR OLD BABY
Worried by spate of cases of sexual abuse and rape,the Adamawa state Police Command has recorded another case as men of the command apprehended a teenager , sexually assaulting a 2year old in the state .
The command inform the general public that, enforcement of it's fight against sexual violence upon women and children is still ongoing as detectives attached to Karewa division arrested one Moses Bukar 17 year old ,resident of Jambutu Aso rock,Yola North Local government Area, for sexually assaulting a 2 year old Baby.
According to information, the suspect whose shop is neighboring with that of the victim's Mother took her into a Bekaji primary school on July 28th ,2020 with pretent of being a good neighbor and had carnal knowledge of her.
The mother immediately noticed the swollen private part of her baby and immediately reported to police which resulted to his arrest and he confessed to the crime of having canal knowledge of the little baby.
The victim is now undergoing medical screenings while the suspect is taken into Custody for investigation and Prosecution.
In his message to the citizenry of the state, the commissioner of police, Olugbenga Adeyanju,fdc, commended members of the public especially those that keyed into fight against Sexual Violence against women and children, with giving useful information to the security operatives to acted promptly.
The police boss therefore call on parents/Guardians to closely monitor their children and wards, equally Sensitise the people to keep distance from people of dubious characters.
The command further assures citizenry of the determination and commitment of the police at protecting lives and Properties at all times, urges the people not to hesitate at continue reporting to police any suspecious movement around their communities .
