ODSG PARTIAL IN DISTRIBUTION OF PALLIATIVE MATERIALS....That is not true - Information commissioner

The current pallative measures embarked on by the Ondo state government has been described  as  selective, very loopsided and partisan in entirety.

While commenting on the lockdown in the state over the last five to six weeks now over the pandemic corona virus ravaging the globe, the spokesperson of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Zadok Akintoye said it is quite unfortunate that goverment that suppose to cater and sees to the welfare of all citizenry are been selective in their approach when it comes to their welfare.

He noted further that despite the facts that the governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu  noted that tbe palliative measures are meant for all vunurable persons in the state, yet when the real distributions of the pallative measures were in operation, it was totally selective and partisan in nature.

In his words " It is a glaring fact  that the pallative measures embarked on by the Ondo state government is purely selective and partisan in nature, despite all the noise that it is meant for all the vunurable citizenry in the state.

"Go out there to all the whole eighteen local government areas of the state, you will definitely confirmed that the pallative measures is selective and partisan, as people are over there complainig that the APC administration in the state is not sincerely alive to the  welfare of the citizenry as claimed" Akintoye  noted.

Adding that, while individuals out there
give pallative materials to the citizenry without been selective or partisan in distribution, so why should a state government be so lacadastical  about the welfare of her citizenry. He queried.

In same vein, Madam Medayese Aduke from Araromi street in Akure, the state capital informed that, people in the area were only hearing the news of the pallative measures on radio and television stations, the measures we only selective.

Her words, " Since the state government asked us to stay at home several weeks ago over the issue of COVID-19, and when the issue of pallative measures come-up, we have been expecting to get the items, only to our surprise it is selective and the measures are meant for the few members of APC in our areas" She noted.

While in his comment on the issue, the state commissioner for information and strategy, Donald Ojogo said there is nothing to suggest as such. That report is the imagination of those whose conjectures tally with their thought lines.
