AIG ZONE 10 COMMENDS OFFICERS...Applauds community policing
The Assistant Inspector General of police in-charge zone 10, AIG Muhammad Mustafa has maintain the readiness of the force at ensuring peace and security of the citizenry at all times.
Mustapha speaking after the conference of CPs and management officers of the zone in Sokoto said the current status of policing and security in the areas is commendable.
According to him, the men and officers of the zone are working 24hours round the clock at ensuring that lives and properties of the citizenry are safe without compromising in any form.
In his words " I am happy and pleased with the level of success recorded so far at ensuring that peace and tranquility return to the zone, most especially the Zamfara state as crime rate in the areas have drastically reduced and same applicable in other states like Kebbi and Sokoto States respectfully which are under my jurisdiction" AIG Mustapha notes.
Zone 10 that comprises of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states respectfully are being surpervise by AIG Mustafa, while the CPs and management conference is a monthly affairs basically to meet, discuss ,do analysis on successes, achievements and identify challenges of areas of the zone with a view and focus towards a better policing.
This month conference that had in attendance the AIG Muhammad A.Mustafa, Ibrahim Kaoje,CP Sokoto state, Garba, Cp Kebbi state, Nagogo, CP Zamfara state, DCP Ops,DCP CIID zone 10 and DSP Bashir Musa zonal PPRO
The AIG Mustafa who appreciates the gains so far recorded in Zamfara state noting that will reflect to other states in the zone, also posits that the consolidation in this areas will be embrace at making sure criminals and hoodlums distance themselves from the areas in the zone
While in his comments on the conference, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) office of the AIG, Bashir Musa noted that series of efforts have been put in place across all police formations in the zone geared towards ensuring that peace and security of people and properties are guaranteed at all times.
Adding that, the current AIG and his management team in the zone also have trust in community policing as one sure way that proper security and policing can be effective, hence have continued at engaging all stakeholders in the zone with a view to have a peaceful environment.
He informed that such efforts have yeilding positive results , especially at Zamfara state as some repentant criminals have started dropping their arms and ammunition in the state, with a cooperation of the state government.
Adding that the AIG has also ordered that all Area Commanders, DPOs in the zonal areas stay within their areas of jurisdiction for prompt attention to urgent issues that may come-up in this areas especially during the Ember months.
While the AIG has posited that instructions have gone to all men and officers of the zone to re-double their efforts at the ember months and beyond, noting that this are done in anticipation to combat any crime or issue of insecurity that may arise.
