OHANEZE LAUD AYADE OVER DEVELOPMENT



The apex Igbo socio-Cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Cross River State Chapter, has commended Governor Ben Ayade on his industrialisation drive, and making the state hub for Investors.



The association  congratulate the governor on his re-election and enjoined him to see his second coming as an opportunity to better the lives of the citizenry, while promising their total Support at  working with him to ensure its actualisation in this regard.


In  statement signed by the President and Secretary respectively, Ugorji Nwabuez, Esq, and Prince Alozie Uhochukwu ,  after its second quarterly meeting held at Gomex Plaza, Calabar, the organisation said the present administration has demonstrated enough good will and readiness to work with Ndigbo in the last four years.



The statement read in part: "We enjoin Your Excellency to partner with Ndigbo in his industrialization drive especially in the Deep Sea Port project to ensure maximum utilization on completion. We restate our commitment and willingness to partner with the state government to promote commerce and industry.



"We use this opportunity to congratulate the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Prof Sen Ben Ayade, and Deputy Gov Ivara Esu on their re-election and subsequent swearing-in for the second term in office.


 
"His overwhelming support at the poll is a demonstration of the love the electorate has for him and we are optimistic that his second coming would bring more smiles on the people of the in general.



"The organization deeply appreciates the good gesture of His Excellency,
 Ben Ayade by attending the Ohanaeze Day Celebration  and the 28th Anniversary of the Leadership of Eze Sir E. A Ezenwenyi, the Eze-Igbo and father of Igbo in Cross River, which was held on November 24, 2018 at Abraham Ordia Stadium. We sincerely thank you for fulfilling some of the promises made to Ndigbo. We are indeed very grateful."



The organisation, made up all the affiliate unions from the 18 local government areas of the state,  said it remian grateful to the host communities for the cordial relationship and mutual cooperation existing between their hosts and Ndigbo peoples in the state.



While the statement enjoined members of the Organisation to remain firmly, united and indivisible with sole aim of working in harmony among member unions and the state as a whole.
