DEJI VISITS SOKOTO CALIPHATE...And others
The Paramount Ruler of Akure kingdom and Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II will embark on a 3-day working visit to the Caliphate of Sokoto.
According to a release signed by the media officer to the paramount Ruler, Adeyeye Micheal, the monarch is is billed to depart Akure on 1st July, 2019 will pay a courtesy visit to his Royal Host, His Eminence, Alhaji Abubakar S'aad III, the Sultan of Sokoto.
The Deji is equally scheduled to visit the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal.
Oba Ogunlade will use the occasion of the visit to pay a thank you visit to the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Reverend Father Matthew Hassan Kukah who was in Akure to deliver the 2018 Ulefunta Lecture.
The Deji is expected to discuss the issue of security and other matters of national importance with the Sultan during the visit.
The Sultan of the Sokoto Caliphate is expected in Akure later in the year.
