OLOWO JOINS HIS ANCESTORS...
The olowo of owo , Oba folagbade olateru olagbegi SAN, CFR and a first class monarch in Ondo state has joined his ancestors.
Oba Olagbegi was said to have died in owo late on Tuesday. He was 77, and the eldest son of his late father sir Olateru Olagbegi.
The late monarch was given staff of office by late Governor Olusegun Agagu on December 11 2003. He celebrated his 15 year on the throne in 2014. Oba folagbade olateru olagbegi was a lawyer.
He was appointed Chancellor of university of Benin in 2005 and later Chancellor university of Abuja. He is currently chancellor of university of Jos and former chairman of the Ondo state council of obas.
He was married to Olori Ololade Olateru Olagbegi and the family was blessed with children and grandchildren.
As at the time of filling this report, meeting is said to be going on in the palace to herald the formal announcement of the demise of the first class monarch, with the cutting of one important tree at the centre of the market, while three (3) markets in the town will be simultaneously having business transactions same day. While no official statement from the state government yet.
Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi is the twelve (12) Olowo of Owo kingdom.
