2019 ELECTIONS : DEJI OF AKURE KINGDOM SUES FOR PEACE
The Paramount Ruler of Akure kingdom and Deji of Akure, HRM Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, has appealed to all the citizenry, both indigenes and non-indegenes of the town and ondo state to ensure that peace reign supreme before,during and after the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking in his palace at Akure, capital of ondo state during a courtesy visit by the Ekiti Decendants Union, Ondo state chapter, the monarch said development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour, crisis and violence.
Oba Aladetoyinbo enjoins the Ekiti indigenes living in Akure and Ondo state in general to always leave in peace and harmony they are noted for, saying where ever individuals find him or her selves, living and prosper is home.
The monarch noted that the indigenes of Akure Kingdom and Ondo State are noted for their hospitable and friendly nature, hence charged the Ekitis to continue in this trend at exchanging same gesture at every community they find themselves, most especially at this crucial electioneering period.
Speaking earlier during the visit, chairman of Ekiti Decendants Union, Ondo state chapter, Oluwadare Adebayo appreciate the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by his teeming members in Akure and Ondo State in general, saying the union will ensure that same gesture continue.
He however assured that the Ekitis been noted for high educational standard and integrity will not renege in this path at living in peace and harmony in all communities the members find themselves,especially during this election and after the polls.
A plaque of honour was presented to the monarch by the union, in recognition of his steerling quality at all times at ensuring peace reign supreme in his domains and the state in general as " Distinguished Royal Father of the year" . Roll calls of distinguished Ekiti state indigenes were present at the occasion.
