CRIME : ONDO JTF NABBED KIDNAPPERS AND OTHERS...

The joint security task force by the Ondo State government put together to stem the tide of kidnapping, armed robbery and other related crimes in the state have started to yield positive result as Seven (7) of the kidnap gangs were apprehended by the team at Emure-Ile axis of Owo-Akure road.
Similarly, the state police command has arrested two suspected Indian hemp dealers who allegedly assassinated a 75year-old woman, Mrs Modupe Olorunfemi at her Owo farm.

Parading the suspected kidnappers at the police headquarters, Igbatoro road, Akure, the Army public relations Officer for Owena Cantonment, Major Ojo Adenegan and the state police public relations officer (PPRO), Mr Femi Joseph said they were arrested at a hideout inside Emure-Owo Forest during the taskforce raid operation in the area.
Major Adenegan noted that the taskforce also arrested the kidnappers’ informant who was monitoring the operations of the taskforce in the area while they were apprehended with about twenty guns, 15 dangerous weapons, 15 cutlasses and other dangerous weapons, charms, #27,820, as well as clothing materials.
The two suspected murderers Sunday Femi and Friday Ami, the police public relations officer, said the aged woman was assassinated in February 2017 for allegedly giving security operatives information about their nefarious planting and selling of Indian hemp in Owo area.

Also, the police image maker, Femi Joseph also paraded two private security guards for alleged negligence , while on duty in the stealing of women’s under wears at a compound in Arakale-Akure,the Ondo state capital.
The joint task force on security however assured the people of the state of their readiness at stamping-out crimes and related issues out in the state,plea pleading for their total support.
