FRAUD: FIVE ODSG WORKERS IN POLICE NET



Five (5) civil servants in ondo State were  currently in the police net  for defrauding the State to the tune of several millions of naira.


The five government officials who are now on suspension  for alleged tax fraud of about two hundred million nairafrom the coffers of the state revenue.

While the state police command has arrested the five embattled workers and one syndicate, Ayadi Orimisan that helped them to defraud the state government.



According to information, the suspended officials were in the habit of printing fake receipts, giving fake tax clearance and documents to unsuspected people.

Parading the suspected tax fraudsters, the State Police Public Relations officer, Mr Femi Joseph listed names of the civil servants to include Mrs Oluwatoyin Abiodun, Ojo Ayodeji, David Omoyajowo, Isaac Solomon and Femi Tuki who were allegedly found of issuing fake tax clearance, certificate of road worthiness and and fake driver's licence.

The PPRO said they would be charged to court as soon as the police concluded its investigations on the matter.

Also speaking, the Special Special Assistant to the governor on special duties, Dr Doyin Odebowale said interim investigation had shown that the state government had been defrauded to the tune of #200million and that was why they were handed over to the police for prosecution.

In an interview, one of the suspects, Mrs Abiodun who confirmed that they had been suspended by the state civil service commission, denied the allegation.
