RELIGION : AKEREDOLU SUES FOR PEACE

The ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has hinged the religious peaceful atmosphere in the state to the tolerance of the citizenry, as an inpetus for development.
Speaking in Akure at a VIPs fellowship
with the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) , Dr. D.K. Olukoya at the International event center, The Dome on Sunday said a spirit keeps on telling him that the coming of Jesus Christ is very near.
In his speech that seems more spiritual than usual, Akeredolu charged every individual to renew covenant with God, asking where will they spend their eternity when Jesus comes.
The Governor thanked the people of Ondo State for being religion’s tolerance which according to him brings peace and development to the state and consequently attracts investors.
He appreciates the religious leaders in the state, saying they have performed tremendously by sustaining the state with prayers all the time.
The governor who affirmed that his coming to power was a miracle, expressed readiness not to take Christianity for granted and also work with other religious base accordingly.
While appreciating Dr. Olukoya for his visit to the state, especially for ordering the total renovation of St. John’s primary school Akure where he started his education years back, Akeredolu described him as a simple and amiable General Overseer he ever met, saying his visit to the state was for a special purpose.
Dr.Olukoya explained that the VIP’s fellowship which started years back in Lagos with the name, ‘Eagle’s club’, is aimed to teach the elites, traditional rulers and Pastors, the geography and chemistry of prayer and to know the awesomeness of prayers.Adding that the programme is an inaugural meeting to teach high profile personalities how to solve spiritual battles themselves without seeking power from other gods.
