Ogele  threatened to lead a massive protest across the country against the oppressive nature of any governor  that fails to meet-up on this demand, saying that office of the governor's first lady is a waste of states funds, as the workers languish in penury.

According to him, many governors spend one third of the state allocation which was supposed to take care of urgent need of the people on the office of the first lady.

The human right activist in a press release made available on Thursday to journalists in Akure, ondo state capital , insisted that the state governors have the capacity to pay the said N30,000. been demanded, saying  based on this facts,  called for the immediate scrap or close down of the office of the first ladies across the country, noting that there is no doubt that these office are illegal, unconstitutional and mere waste of scarce public funds.

"There is no section in 1999 constitution recognising the office or offices
of first lady as most of our governors are now parading, simply to put their wives and stay at governors' house attending to the domestic demands of their husbands. This offices are draining the state treasuries some of the first ladies are operating parallel offices with the governors having their own pool of vehicles, having personal assistants amongst others", he maintained.

Ogele also advised the state governors to reduce the number of their aides and cutting other forms of wastage reducing the cost of infrastructures and restrain themselves from inflating and over-bloating projects cost.

In his words, "my advice to our governors is that they must reorder their priorities in cutting or reducing wastage and restrain themselves in spending public funds on what is not beneficial to their states".

" While I am now making a patriotic call to all workers, students, market women, artisan and farmers to come out en-mass to support Labour Congress, as I am ready to lead this justifiable revolution against the oppression of any governors on the poor masses in this country of ours, Nigeria".
