PARIS CLUB FUND : ONDO WORKERS POISE FOR ACTION...





Workers in the public service of Ondo state have ready to give a show-down on the state over non-utilising of the last tranche of Paris club acrued to the state.


In a bulletin by the workers, dated Monday 15th October 2018, the workers are accusing the state government of not disclosing the amount collected from the federal government and not utilising the funds for the set purpose.



According to the bulletin by the workers, since the state government have collected the funds, it  is purely meant to settle arrears of salaries and pensions of the retirees in the state.



However, the workers alleged that the state government  in conivinance with the state Accountant General (AG) have not acted in this regard, only to have logged the funds in a private account in a bank without ready to meet the obligation the money is earnmarked to serve.


The bulletin however directed that if by closing hours of Monday, 15 October 2018, no payment of all this arrears, workers and pensioners in the state should endeavour to converge at the office of the state  Head of Service for a prayer session in regards to the payment of the money and further directives.
