ONDO APC CRISIS DEEPENS... as state chairman indicts for irregularities

The crisis rocking Ondo state chapter of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) Ondo state chapter took another dimension over the weekend as members call for truce peace in the party.



Speaking at a press conference jointly address by Hon. Tuyi Akintimehin, Olawole Jepson Sunday, Teniola Oladele and Hon. Ayodeji Adeniyi respectfully alleges the state Chairman Engr. Ade Adetimehin for causing crisis in the party by not giving aspirants in the on-going primary election a level play ground to participate.



The  four named persons are aspirants contesting for the House of Representatives ticket of the party, alleged the chairman of openly campaign for an aspirant named one Sunday Akinwalere, a class teacher in one of the public secondary schools in the state, which  they said is contrary to the laid down constitution
and regulations of the party.


According to the aspirants, Akinwalere who is still a serving officer in the state public service is not allowed by the cinstitution to participate in the election process ,unless he resigns in that capacity, yet the state Chairman continue to back him up with all the party machineries and campaigning openly for him.



While speaking on behalf of others, Jepson Olawole Sunday noted that the purported primary election that was expected to take place at Idanre / Ifedore local government areas for the House of Representatives of the party ,APC could not hold as the state chairman, Adetimehin hijacked all the apparatus of the party for the election, mandating the party executives to pick   his sole  candidature by unleashing terror on other aspirants.


In his words, " we are all surprised and caught unaware the actions of the state chairman of our party, Egnr. Ade Adetimehin who hijacked all the party mercineries and apparatus to work for a sole aspirant in person of Sunday Akinwalere at the expense of others aspirants, unleashing terror on us and our supporters, preventing any election to hold in our areas".

The aspirants who noted that no presence of the national body of the party was seen at the local government areas for the election, call on the leadership of the party both in the state and natioal to quickly  swing to action and curtail the action of the party chairman in the overall interest of the party.
