CRIME : STAFF STABS MANAGER TO DEATH...
The Ondo police command has parade one Adewale Adegoroye, a staff of one multi-million naira cooperative Society based in Ondo town for alleged murder of the organisation manager.
The state commissioner of Police Gbenga Adeyanju who was represented by the command public Relation Officer, Femi Joseph said on information the police have arrested the said murderer of the manager , while he was attempting to run away.
According to the PPRO, Tuesday,1st of August,2018 at about 12.25 pm, one Valentine Akinbolasere ‘m’ of No 59 Akinboyewa Street Oka-Ondo, reported to the police that same day at about 1140 in the morning, one Akin Akinmulero ‘m’ the Manager Ondo Multipurpose Cooperative Union Ondo, Aged 60 years was attacked by one Adewale Adegoroye ‘m’, also a staff of the union by stabbing him with knife snatched sum of Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (N700,000) from the victim. As a result of the attack the victim sustained injury.
He was rushed to State Specialist Hospital Ondo but gave up the ghost. The suspect was apprehended by the members of the public and handed over to the Police
Narrating the incident, Adegoroye stated that he was owned several months of salary, prompted him to went to demanded money from the late manager,and on sighting money on his table he took it and scurfle ensued between the duo and led to stabbing him
In his words " the cooperative have been owing me several months of salary and I find it difficult to feed, only to be seeing them carrying money here and there. This very day I saw the manager with some money and on demanding he refused which I forcefully took two hundred thousand (#200,000) and we started scurflling before I stabbed him with office knife"
Arrested along are four (4) gang of armed robbers specialised in house burgling ,that have operated at different locations as valuables like mattresema,television sets, fridges and other household we're recovered from them.
Also recovered by the police Is a Mazda bus stolen at Egbeda park, Iwo road Ibandan on 2nd of February 2018 , when Asilejo Olufunke attached to Osi Division was on traffic duty at Total Filling Station Ado Road, when she saw the mazda bus with key intact but the driver was not inside. She quickly check the number plate and discovered that it was the same Reg No that a chairman of Ibadan park gave to her that the vehicle was stolen at Egbeda park Iwo Road, Ibadan on 2nd February, 2018. Imediately she called the attention of Osi Division surveillance team for assistance at the station. The driver then appeared and he was arrested and taken to the station. At the station, the suspect stated that the vehicle was sold to his boss at Abuja.
Police authority noted that all suspects were ready to be taken to the court for prosecution.
