2019 ELECTIONS :. REMA TASK NIGERIANS ... vows to stamp-out quackery
Ahead of 2019 elections across the country, politicians and all stakeholders have been task at ensuring credible and reliable elections to produce candidates that will positions across the country.
Making this known, the State President of Real Estate Managers Association ( REMA ) Ondo State chapter, Otunba Alaba Alabi task the the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ), politicians and other stakeholders to ensure that the coming election in the country should be play according to the rule, moreso giving all concern in the election a level play ground to decide winners at the elections.
He noted that a reference can be taken of recent election of REMA Akure South local government executive offices of it's association as a yardstick for the conduct of 2019 general elections, as things were done orderly without undue interference from any quater.
Alabi, while inaugurating the newly elected officers, charges all stakeholders in the forthcoming election in the country to make sure Nigeria democracy continue to strive, without any act or instances at stalling democracy the country have been enjoying.
In his words," It was our own resolution within the organisation, to make our own election, free, fair and credible , devoid of inducement, thuggery and harassment. You can see it here now that,it has come to past, we held it perfectly, I therefore, call on all relevant agencies in the conduct of next year elections to take a cue from us to organise a credible election in 2019 for Nigeria" Alabi posits.
The REMA election that took place in a peaceful and orderly environment, witnessed large numbers of members of the association. Adeyemi Olaboyede was elected as the chairman , having successfully defeated Afolabi Akinyosola with a total votes of 116 against 62, while Oladimeji Francis was elected as the Secretary with a total votes of 110 against Adetola Francis who polled 80.
In his acceptance speech, Adeyemi appealed for the cooperation and support of all members, saying election has come and gone. Calling for total eradication of quarkery in their midst of the association as a means at making the body more reputable.
