FRSC : ONDO GETS MOBILE COURTS



All arrangements are at the final stage as Ondo state get  Mobile Courts  across the eighteen local government areas  of the state  where traffic offenders will be prosecuted

Dropping the hints, new State Sector Commander of the federal road safety corps, FRSC in the state, Mr Rotimi Adeleye disclosed this at the Press Centre in Akure when he paid a familiarisation Visit to the state leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo state Council.

Adeleye explains that the only traffic mobile court in Akure had not been functioning for many years, hence the need to set-up new mobile courts in the state where FRSC personnel could be handling road traffic offenders and related matters.

The FRSC Commander noted that necessary arrangements had been concluded and the state chief judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Akeredolu had given an approval to the proper inauguration of the mobile courts in the state.

On the complaints over relationship between the FRSC officials and the journalists, Mr Adeleye promised to improve on it and have a more robust relationship between the Command and media professionals in the state, adding that the corps will be engaging more of corrective measures than punishments.

Responding, the Ondo state chairman of NUJ, Mr James Sowole who charged FRSC to intensify education of its regular marshals on how to deal with motorists in a civilized manner, pledged the readiness of media professionals in the state to support the new sector Commander at  achieving thier goals and making roads across the lenght and breadth of the state safer for all road users.
