EKITI 2019 : SEGUN ADEWALE EMERGES ADP CANDIDATE...Unveils seven point agendas
The chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Primary election in Ekiti state, Alhaji Dan Umar Hassan raising hand of the standard flagbearer of the party, Otunba Segun Adewale at Ado-Ekiti.
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) Ekiti state has conducted her primary election in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend under a peaceful and carnival--like atmosphere, producing Otunba Segun Adewale as the flagbearer of the party.
Otunba Adewale who polled 16,890 votes out of total votes of 17,600 votes casted at the poll, leaving 710 votes void across the whole sixteen (16) local government areas of the state,was the sole candidate of the party in the election.
The election that was supervised and witnessed by the natioal officers of the party and states oficials, Indepe National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials led by Hajia Maryam Lawal ,security agencies and other relevant stakeholders was conducted according to the electoral Law of the country and in conformity with the party's guidelines under a totally peacefully manner.
In his words at the occasion,the chairman of the committee,who is also the Vice Chairman of the party in the North west,Alhaji Umar Hassan appreciates the peaceful manner the people display before and during the election. Tasking them to replicate such to the general election for victory of the party in the coming governorship election in the state.
Adewale commenting on his victory, Unveils his seven points agenda for the development of Ekiti state, noting that prompt payment of workers salaries and entitlement of pensioners is paramouPa to him,whi while their welfare will always come first and payment of their arrears.
According to him, issue of adequate and steady power supply to Ekiti will be giving priority,as means of creating good business environment and friendly investor state. While revigorating dead industries in the state like Ade-Ekiti textile Mills,Ire-Ekiti burnt bricks,Igbemo -Ekiti rice Mills amongst others shall be revived to create employment and boost the state economy.
Adewale posits further that health sectors in the state are already in comatose and shamble,promi pro of upradiupgand building of more health facilities across the state to improve the health standard of the people, while noting that creation of viable vocational centers across the sixteen (16) local government areas of the state will cater for the teeming youths and women,with soft laons to take off and boost acquired sills , guarantee them a better future.
The ADP flagbearer added that repositioning the educational sector in the state will not be undermine, as the state is noted to be a fountain of knowledge, so the sector will be highly equipped and put in proper shape with affordable cost to all.
The election had in attendance national officers like Alhaji Umar Hassan, VC North West zone,Mrs Adenike Jones Committee secretary,Barr. Aladetoyinbo, national publicity secretary,Dr. Lyn Olisa, Babatunde Gbadamosi ,Lagos State,prince Edobor Oghosa, national youth leader amongst other.
Adewale who appreciates the delegates for their trust in him urges the Ekitis to have a rethink by voting massively for his party,ADP in the coming juJu14th,2018 governorship election in the state in order to correct the past annomalies and bring the state out of shackles of under-development the state is presently facing.
