ONDO VOWS TO REJUVENATE FOREST RESERVES

The ondo state government has reiterates her determination at making the forest reserves across the state viable and economically useful to the citizenry.
Dropping the hints, the Special Adviser to the Governor on natural resources, Com. Lawal Fatai Olusina said the Akeredolu led administration in the state have planted over six (6) million of trees, ranging from teak,melania and other species on nothing less than 3,000 hectares of land quarterly in the last 365 days of the present administration in the state.
According to the Governor's aide, this efforts were geared at replenishing the forest reserves that have been depleted in the past by encroachers .
He informed that investors have also been invited in this regard at making sure that forest reserves across the state are viable, preserved and protected from been collapsed.
While he appreciated the efforts of the Governor in the last one year in office as tremendous and describes as people oriented administration in nearly all spheres of human endeavours, saying the people can attest to this in their judgment.
He urges all forest users in the state to always follow the laid down forest rules and regulations procedures in their activities, in order not to see the wrath of the government.
While the SA noted that ondo state government will continue to frown at any encroachers into her forest reserves across the state, in order to make the forest reserves economically viable.
