MHA TASKS ON RESPONSIVE GOVERNANCE
Hon. Folagbade Adetoro Gbemibade (Flagon)
A former member of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Hon. Folagbade Adetoro Gbemibade ( Flagon ) said until there is responsive and working governance structures across the country, before the people can enjoy the true dividends of democracy.
The Lawmaker posits that Nigerians deserves the best administration at all levels of governance,with purposeful leadership steering the affairs of such government institutions for the benefits of the citizenry.
Folagbade, a one time legislator and also chairman of Ileoluji/Okeigbo local government area of Ondo state noted that Nigeria witnessed set-back in the hands of leaders that lack focus, dedication and passion towards developing the nation, with little or no ideas for good governance.
While condemning the various cases of herdsmen attacks across the country as an unfortunate situation,that can be traced to the lackadaisical nature of the All Progressive Congress ( APC ) government who fails to follow the due Laws of the land.
He berates a situation that the herdsmen carrying arms in the process of grazing their animals as uncalled for and dangerous to the security of the society, noting that government should not hide from the truth by invoking the full Laws on grazing as done by the Ekiti state government.
Folagbade, who has been tipped by his community to represent the area, Ileoluji-Okeigbo/Odigbo federal constituency at the House of Representatives in Abuja come next election, noted that he is poise and determined to make governance a different and purposeful for his people,since he ventured into politics.
Adding that, if elected into the green chamber of the National Assembly, he is determined to make a difference,through what he described as purposeful leadership, dedication and passion to serve the people.
"I am into the political terrain to make difference and a purposeful leadership which I have been doing through all areas I have served in my political career, and I am more determined to do more if elected to represent my people at the upper legislative chamber ". Folagbade added.
