BLEAK EASTER IN ONDO

As Nigerian Christians join counterparts worldwide, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ Easter, Ondo state workers groan of non payment of salaries to celebrate the season.
Information gathered revealed that workers in the state are yet to receive their March salaries , which falls to the period of the festive period.
When Society Premium move round the state, most of the markets across the state were scanty as the traders lament poor sales of goods.
At Oja Oba, Isikan and NEPA markets in Akure the Ondo state capital, there were display of wares and foods and farm products like live fowls, turkey and goats,however few buyers were noticed in all this markets.
When contacted some of the sellers, they were groaning and hinged the low sales during this period to non payment of workers salaries in the state, according to them the state is a civil servants state and source of funds to the people of the state.
Also, some workers that spoke under condition of anonymity lamented non payment of their salaries, adding that the last day in the month was Thursday, 29th and non of the workers have received alert as at the closing hours of the day.
