ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY : AKEREDOLU CAMPAIGNS FOR BUHARI SECOND TERM BID
As Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu marks his 365 days in office, he has openly declares his total support for the second term bid of President Muhammad Buhari in office.
Speaking at the MKO Abiola Democracy park, venue of the event in Akure, Governor Akeredolu said all arrangements are in top gear for the opening of an office for Buhari campaign in the state, at ensuring that he returns for second term in office.
The first year anniversary of Akeredolu has in attendance, the Governors'of Ogun and Edo States,Chief Ibikunle Amosun, Godwin Obaseki, chief John Odige Oyegun, national Chairman of All Progressive Congress( APC ), Chief Segun Oni, Deputy national chairman APC South West and former governor Ekiti state and Dr. Kayode Fayemi, minister of solid minerals and development amongst other party leaders and supporters.
Governor Akeredolu who enumerates series of achievement of his administration in the last one year, comments on the unification rally as an avenue to unite all the members of the party as a whole.
According to the Governor, "all leaders of APC supported this programme and those who were not here gave reasons for their absence.And for Instance, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,he called me this morning that he woke up with a terrible cold.
"I know of two senators in APC in Ondo State, and that is Tayo Alasoadura and Yele Omogunwa. For me,those two have been supportive and I know Yele have other engagement somewhere. Senator Alasoadura have been supportive from beginning to the end.So,those are the two senators I know in APC in Ondo State".
Senator Borrofice Ajayi representing the northern senatorial was conspicuously absent at the event, with some other National Assembly members.
Speakers like Chief Oyegun, Governors Amosun and Obaseki, Kayode Fayemi commend the one year of Akeredolu as been Progressive, hard working and dedication toward lifting the state to a more better height.
