FALLOUT PDP CONVENTION : GROUP PROTEST BURUJI KASHAMU SUSPENSION
Senator Buruji Kashamu
The South West for Good Governance ( SWGG) a non governmental organisation has registered her protest over the one month suspension placed on Senator Buruji Kashamu by the authorities of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) as uncalled for, injustice and done with bad faith.
In a release signed by Comrade Akintayo Johnson , Muyiwa Bayo Coordinator and Secretary of the group respectively condemned the suspension in totality and call for the reversal of the action in the interest of peace and development of the party.
The SWGG in the release noted that the action of Senator Kashamu at South West producing the National Chairman of the party, is with a sincerity of purpose and make things clear as it ought to be, rather than playing pranks like some others are doing , with overall interest of PDP and the South West people.
" We do understand that due to Senator Kashamu sincerity of purpose to call a spade a spade pitched him with those who want to hijack the structure of PDP for their own selfish interest and ambition without considering the interest of the larger party members and South West in particular ".
The group added that the Yoruba people will resist any attempt to make the race backward in the scheme of things in the party due to some few element in the party , who have allowed their selfish interest and ambition to be cloud them.
SWGG therefore called on Prince Uche Secondus, national Chairman of the party and the party hierarchy to immediate lift the illegal and obnoxious suspension placed on Senator Buruji Kashamu without any further delay in order not to jeopardise the chances of the party, PDP in the south West zone, considering the great contributions and philanthropic roles played by Kashamu at making the party stronger across the country
While the group also condemned Senator Markafi's statement on the failure and inability of South West to clinch the National Chairman of the party, vowed not to take it lightly with anyone or group henceforth rubbishing or dragging any sons and daughters of Oduduwa in the mud.
