As the dry period, the harmattan approaches, Ondo state government has promised massive road construction across the whole eighteen (18) local government areas of the state.

The Commissioner informs that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu specifically noted that the areas mentioned aboved as needed government attention due to bad road networks in the areas, thick population of citizenry living in the areas and also to make development getting to the people of the state.
The Commissioner stated that, though there is paucity of funds in coffers of the state government, yet will not relent at making development getting to the people.
According to him, the ministry has been going round the state to collate data of all roads across the whole eighteen (18) local government areas of the state that needed government attention, while also calling on the Federal government to also assist at giving the Federal roads in the state that are in state of disrepair urgent attention.
Adding that competent and reliable contractors will be awarded such projects , so as to deliver good jobs with limited time frame.
Earlier in his speech, Elder David Olorunsomo, Coordinator of the landlords association in the communities , appreciates Governor Akeredolu determination at developing the state all round, more so the choice of the works Commissioner as round peg in a round hole.
While the plights of the communities, Olufoam, Amese,Emure and Abusoro were reeled out as pathetic and sympathetic , noting that roads in the areas are in total state of disrepair over the years with neglect, making transportation a nightmare , while the areas were highly populated.
