ROAD PROJECTS : ONDO TARGETS MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION






As the rainy season gradually winding-up, approaching the  dry period , the Ondo State government  has promised  massive road construction across the three senatorial districts areas of the state.



The Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), noted that his administration has put all machineries  together at mobilising equipment and competent contractors to sites in order to  fix dilapidated  roads across the three senatorial districts of the state for quality  projects .




According  to a reliable source at the  Government House in Akure revealed that Akeredolu planned to rehabilitate  substantial bad roads  in the state to complement his administration's efforts aimed  and geared at attracting investors for the speedy development of the state.




According to the source, the Governor  noted with passion that  no part of the state will be left out in his bid to rehabilitate the roads and fix others  that are in state of disrepair. 




Governor Akeredolu, who appealed to the people of the state to continue to pray for the success of his administration and seek for the support  of the people and other relevant  stakeholders at developing  the state.




In his words,  "My mandate to the people is to ensure the development of the rural areas through massive road rehabilitation , which am going to pursue with vigorous  action,".




While the Governor charges all relevant government agencies to buckle-up and  get set for the massive road construction project, as soon as the dry period set in.




The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Taofik Abdulsalam, who confirmed  the Governor's position on the road construction . 
Said many road projects abandoned by the immediate past administration would receive attention immediately  the projects  kick off.



The Commissioner  appeals  for understanding on the part of the citizenry,  saying no community  or local government  areas in the state will be left out in the projects.
