As the present administration in the country continue in its drive to stamp- out corruption, a top civil servant in Ondo State, Barr. Busuyi Lawani has revealed that corruption have its way in the public service through the collaboration of both the political class and the beaurecrats.
The retiring Permanent Secretary said there is no way that corruption can scaled through in any public service, without the collaboration of the public servants in that establishment who are the accounting officers and the political class who happens to be the overall head of such government establishment.
Lawani, is the current Permanent Secretary of the local government service commission in Ondo state and due for "Pen Down" ceremony on Friday, 22nd September, 2017 at a colourful ceremony.
Recounting his experience in the civil service back thirty-five (35) years ago, noted that the public service is dynamic, challenging and interesting with a lot of hurdles and obstables that he surmounted through the grace of Almighty God.
He posits that corruption is a thing of mind and principle, which can be easily eradicated with discipline and contentment OF person involved .
The Supare -Akoko born beaurecrat joined the service in September 1982 as a teacher with National Certificate in Education ( NCE ) holder, only to spend just few months in teaching before crossing to the mainstream of the civil service at the local government level.
Lawani sees through the service, build himself , today he is holder of two masters degree, an accomplished public servant that rose to the peak of his career as a Permanent Secretary and a qualified Lawyer.
His Pen Down ceremony starts with a valedictory meeting on Thursday ,21st September, Friday, 22nd September is the day of the real "Pen Down" at his office, Local government service Commission complex at Alagbaka Akure, reception is at the Henry Ogiri hall, Aquinas college. While on Sunday, 24th September, 2017 is the thanksgiving athe the CCC Ireakari Holy land along Benin/Owo expressway, Akure.
