ONDO GETS NEW CP


The Ondo  state police  command has welcome a new Commissioner of Police to the command in person of Mr Gbenga  Adeyanju.


Welcoming  the new Commissioner,  the former Commissioner of police  who has now been elevated to the position  of Assistant  Inspector  General  of Police, AIG  Hilda  Ibifuro Harrison  appreciates the media for their cooperation and adequate  support  during  her eighteen  (18 ) months stay in the state.


The former CP who uses the handing -over ceremony  to thank the people of the state and government  for the cooperation  given to the command  so far.


Ibifuro  noted that Ondo state is a relatively a peaceful  state, informing that most of her challenging periods as Commissioner of police In the state are during cases of kidnapping  and process at gaining freedom for the victims as daunting,  due to circumstances and the processes leading to their release.


She however  implores the government,people and the media to continue at giving support  for her successor to achieve at making the state a crime -free society by giving useful information at all times, promising that police will continue to protect such informants identify and sources  of such information at helping  the command.


In his remarks,  the new CP, Gbenga Adeyanju  read a riot act that criminals  and people with dubious acts should  to stay clear of the state,  noting that the command  is ready at all times at making the state  a crime -free society .


He also promised a robust relationship  with all relevant  stakeholders  at providing  good policing  and security  for the state. Urges  for cooperation on the part of all.
