LAPAHUN KINGDOM LASIA : A  COMMUNITY  BEGGING FOR DEVELOPMENT 



Lapahun, Lasia  is an agrarian community located  in a sleepy serene area along Ondo/Ore road in Odigbo  local government  area of Ondo state,  with a sort of linear cluster settlement. 



A first time visitor to the community, will easily noticed  the hussing smell of agricultural  products coming out from all the nooks and crannies  of the community, ranging from cocao,  palm kernels,  plantain amongst other,right from the entrance of the community  at the highway through the traverse all the  quiet and peaceful  area of the town.


The community Lapahun, Lasia, got the name years back when the fore-fathers who is noted for traditional medicine,erected a bamboo tree with a flag insignia at the entrance of the community as his symbol,comprises of Asewele -oja,  Asewele-korede, Kajola, Lasia amongst other communities have a similar and resemblance of the Ondos,  although  are under the Odigbo  area of the state,  while culture and language have a true and unic similarity. 



Oba  ( Dr. ) Solomon Adejayan, the Oworofun of Lapahun Kingdom  narrates his accession of the throne of his fore-fathers as a divine instance and a promise from the Almighty God, that perfects through destiny. Making  him guiding his footesters on the throne always, with trust, passion, humility and diligent beforeally God 


The former boss of the National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW  ) Ondo state council, who also is an honorary  officer of the union at Abuja,  federal capital territory  is a complete symbol of humility, peace and a distinguished leader of instance.



Oba  Adejayan,  ascend the throne of Oworofun  of Lapahun  Kingdom on the 5th of May, 2014 , becoming the monarch of the community since with series of progress and challenges .
iThe monarch informed  that, since his assumption  on the throne of his fore-fathers, series of giants strides , challenges and developmental projects have continued to spring-up in the communities,  while the area still begging for more attention from both the government and the private sectors.



Oba Adejayan posits that, the community is noted for her agrarian nature planting such crops like cocoa, palm tree, kola ,plantain, yam and others crops alike, while the available rivers provide for fishing ,as the people involved in rearing of domestic animals. 



He passionately enumerates various challenges confronting the communities, such as lack of good road network to bring home and to the markets theory various agriculture produce, lack of portable water, schools for the education of their children and other social amenities are just a few of the problems  confronting the agrarian communities. 



While he make a plea for quick intervention on the rehabilitation of roads in the area, with good health institution,  portable water and more befitting educational institutions in the community,  promised the unalloyed support of the people in the communities for government  in the local government, state and federation at making their  policies yielding positive results for the people.


While the Oba  imploring younger generations both in the area and at large to be hard working, deligent and shun laziness in all sphere, noting that it's hardwork, diligent and honesty that pays in all.
