ONDO: WORKERS GET SALARY ARREAR...as Akeredolu promises good welfare for the people
The ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in his efforts to put smiles on the faces of the people of the state, has directed that civil servants in the state be paid the arrear of salary owed them, starting with the month of August.
In a release by the Chief Press to the Governor, Olusegun Ajiboye said the Governor gave the directive that the civil servants must be paid the one month salary before the Easter festive.
“We know that our people are suffering, and I have decided that there is the need to put smiles on their faces. Therefore, I have decided that civil servants in the state should be paid their salary for the month of August before Easter.”
It will be recalled that the last administration left behind a salary arrears of six months, between August 2016 and January 2017, which have put great hardship on the workers and economic toll on the economy of the state.
Akeredolu had at his inauguration made a promise to ensure workers in the state get their salaries as at when due, a promise he has kept with the workers getting their salaries for the months of February and March paid up to date.
The Governor vowed to make the welfare and development of the citizenry a great priority to his administration.
