FG PROMISE MORE ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT
The minister of power, housing and urban development, Raji Fashola ,SAN has reinstated the determination and commitment of the Federal government at improving and making good roads network across the country a great priority to the present administration in the country.
Making the plans of the Federal government known again in Akure, the ondo state capital, the Minister dusing a familiarisation visit to the state said the present administration in the country will continue to pursue vigorously at constructing good roads network across the length and breadth of the country ,with a view to reduce carnages on the roads and promoting development.
Fashola noted that the Buhari-led administration is poised at seeing that Nigeria roads are good and safer for all, while noting this will attract great development and safety of lives, as it applicable in other developed countries around the globe.
He added that all on going Federal government projects in the state will be completed in due course, while projects like Benin/Lagos expressway will soon be completed and Akure /Ado-Ekiti road will soon get the attention of the Federal government. More so, that money owed states on expended road projects will be paid back soon.
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu appreciated the efforts of the Federal government at fixing roads across the country, call on on the attention of the minister to roads like Isua / Ipele road,
Akure -Owo/Akoko roads that lead to Kogi state ad issue of towns and communitiesi in the state without power supply over periods spanning to rwo or more years now.Akeredolu implores the Federal government to quickly come to aids of the state in this direction at restoring power back to such communities for development and good life.
