Ahead of Sunshine Stars match for this weekend, Captain of the Akure based team, Abe Sunday has lauded the performance of his colleagues as the team forced to a draw Abia Warriors in a week 7 match played at the Umuahia, at their home ground township Stadium.
Speaking shortly after the tension soaked encounter in Umahia, Abe Sunday who has not featured for the team this season as he continues his to recover from injury sustained, said the players performances were instance response to the loss against MFM in their last match, which need to be redeemed.
"I want to give all glory to God Almighty for the result in Umuahia, it came as a result of hard work on the part of the players as they were determined to correct the wrongs against MFM. Am really happy with the performance of the boys and I hope we shall approach the next match against ABS FC of Ilorin in the same manner as I say a big thank you to our fans and especially the supporters club for their understanding and support , with a promise for more good things to come".
Sunshine Stars will play host to ABS FC of Ilorin in a week 8 match billed for the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure this weekend, with encouragement of better performances by the team.
