SPORTS : SUNSHINE STARS TO BRACE-UP
Sunshine stars football club of ondo state have been charged to brace-up more in their performances throughout the current 2016/2017 Nigeria professional Football League ( NPFL ) so as to clinch the deserved and desire points to win in the contest.
Speaking shortly after the end of week four (4) home match against the Kano Pillars football club of Kano that ended in 1-0, the supporters of Sunshine Stars in Akure were not that comfortable with the performances of the team so far and of the opinions that unless the football team brace-up the more for further challenges coming on their way at meeting other teams, it might look grey for them to get the desire points needed at winning in the on going competition.
The supporters hinged their arguments on both the team formation and technical aspects , vis-a-visit the performances of the players in the matches played so far, call for more efforts on the part of the coach, technical crew and the management for better outing performances in the coming weeks of the league.
Reacting to the performances of the Sunshine Stars team, Prince Dapo Ajibade, president of the team, said the performances of the players in the matches so far played are not bad, but however getting more good. Adding that perfection can not just achieved suddenly like some people are saying, but with time the team will get themselves together and get there.
In his words " how can you compare the performances of the players today with that of their last matches, you will agree with me that there is quite improvement and better, they are human beings, so with time, they will get there and we are sure of victory at the end of the day with the supports of you all".
Ajibade also informed that, the present team of Sunshine Stars were made -up of not less than seven (7 ) indigenes of Ondo state, which he posits is a way at encouraging the younger generations and pushing them ( the players) to global market of football, which he added reduce crime amongst the youths in the state.
