EFCC QUIZ OSOPADEC OFFICIALS AND OTHERS



Just as security  operatives in the past weeks whisked away some government officials in Ondo state for interrogation ,  men of the Economic Financial Crime Commission  ( EFCC  ) was at the office of the state oil producing areas known as OSOPADEC  over some allegations  of financial misappropriation.


The EFCC operatives that arrive the premises  of the OSOPADEC office complex at Oba-Ile in Akure North local government  area of the state  at about 12noon on Wednesday  and went straight to the administrative complex,  where they quickly picked some top management of the commission for interrogation .


The  officials that were arrested for interrogation  include the chairman of the commission,  Pastor Johnson  Ogunyemi, Dr Dipo Durojaye,permanent secretary of the commission, Mr Sola  Orisamoluwa,  Director of fiance and administration and the Director of Account,  Mr Vincent Ikuomola.


It was however gathered  that all the arrested officials  were taken away by the EFCC officials  in a white 14-seaters Toyota  bus, while two other  Hilux van escorted  them off the premises.


Some officials of the commission  that spoke under anonymity,  said the whole matter was like a drama when the EFCC  officials came,only for them to went straight to the  chairman's  office, why other officials like Director of finance and administration, Accountantique  and the Permanent Secretary were all summoned and started calling for files.


The  OSOPADEC officials noted that their arrest would be related to mismanagement in the commission and financial impropriety.


For several hours on the arrival of EFCC operatives,  officials activities at the commission complex was abruptly stopped, as workers were seen in twos and group discussing on the development.


It will also be recalled that few weeks ago, some security operatives were in the state to quizzed some government  officials over allegation  of financial  impropriety and mismanagement  of public funds.
